German car production rises but below pre-Covid level
Production and registration of new cars rose again gently Germany, but is still lagging behind pre-Covid figures, says automotive association VDA in its statistics for the first half of 2023.
In June, the production level at German car plants was higher on-year for the 14th month in a row. Last month, 389,900 passenger cars rolled off production lines, 31% more than in June 2022, Kallanish hears from VDA.
