Gerdau resumes Rio Grande do Sul operations
Gerdau has restarted its Rio Grande do Sul operations. These were closed after Brazil's historic flooding in the region. The unprecedented April-May rains in Rio Grande do Sul have affected over 90% of the state, displacing 600,000 people and causing more than 170 fatalities.
