French stainless scrap prices decline
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are falling this month, by over €100/tonne ($103) on average compared to April, in line with declining raw material prices.
According to stainless scrap sellers, demand for grade 304 is subdued this month and uncertainty is looming in the French stainless steel market. The May price decline brings to an end a long series of hikes, Kallanish notes.
