French stainless scrap increases in uncertain market

Stainless steel scrap prices in France are increasing month-on-month after collapsing in July and August, by some €200/tonne ($202) on average compared to August. The market is now slowly resuscitating after the standoff of the August holiday break when mills idled their plants mostly due to the downturn in finished product markets.
