French car production hikes in 2022
French passenger car production increased by 10% last year compared to 2021, says French carmakers’ association Organisation Internationale Des Constructeurs Automobiles (OICA).
The country’s automakers produced 1,010,466 passenger cars in 2022. If compared to 2019, however, the year before the pandemic, output decreased by 39%. In 2019, France produced 1,662,963 cars, compared to 927,344 produced in 2020 and 918,825 in 2021, Kallanish notes.
