Foul weather hits US rebar market, prices flat
Rebar pricing in the US is flat this week, with downstream consumers reporting that harsh winter weather has temporarily slowed construction activity but not enough to sour the market or swell mill inventories, Kallanish hears.
“Nothing has changed” in terms of rebar pricing, observes a northeastern fabricator. “I don’t think the mills are going to have to offer any discounts anytime soon.”
