EU consumption to rebound in 2021 despite uncertainties

European apparent steel consumption in 2021 is now expected to return to pre-coronavirus levels, according to the latest outlook issued by regional steelmakers’ association Eurofer. In 2020 apparent steel consumption fell some -13% year-on-year, slightly less than the previous expectations issued in October 2020.
