EPA proposes stricter air pollution standards requirements
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is looking to strengthen its air pollution standards under the Clean Air Act of 1963, Kallanish understands.
A recent proposal by the EPA would tighten the National Ambient Air Quality Standards' (NAAQS) "clean air" requirements for fine particle pollution from 12 micrograms per cubic metre to between 9-10 micrograms.
