Wire rod processor rails against EU trade barriers
Buyers of wire rod in Europe are being urged by Dutch processor Van Merksteijn to make a stand against a possible move on a European Commission (EC) level to raise trade barriers against wire rod imports. There is not enough mesh quality wire rod available from European mills, Van Merksteijn says.
