Downward trend continues in Turkish scrap prices
Some Turkish steel producers have decreased their domestic scrap buying prices since last week while most kept them unchanged, Kallanish notes.
While iron ore prices recorded a sharp decrease on Wednesday, Turkish mills' demand for scrap remains weak. No fresh booking is heard so far this week. Although there was a rumour of a short-sea sale from Bulgaria at $335/tonne cfr, this is denied by Bulgarian suppliers.
