Construction slump, revamp slash Cognor deliveries, earnings
The construction industry downturn and stoppage for revamp work at its Krakow rolling mill meant Cognor’s second-quarter shipments fell 13.7% on-year. This, as well as lower sales prices were partially offset by the firm’s higher sales of electricity and billet deliveries, resulting in a 26% drop in revenue, Kallanish notes.
