Colombia's long products output falls in May
Colombian crude steel production decreased in May, Kallanish learns from the local steel producers association, Comité Colombiano de Productores de Acero (CCPA).
According to CCPA data, Columbia’s crude steel output totalled 104,810 tonnes in May, almost equal to production in April, but 2,296t less compared to the same month of 2016.
Cumulative production in the first five months of 2017 was 528,704t, a decrease of 989t on-year.
Colombian long steel finished production saw a second month of consecutive fall, as production totalled 110,223t in May, compared to 121,261t and 116,019t in March and April respectively.
During the first five months of 2017 long steel finished production was 562,080t, up 6,232t on the same period in 2016, CCPA adds.
