CISA members’ losses top CNY 53 billion
Member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) are likely to record losses close to CNY 60 billion ($9.1 billion) for 2015, Kallanish notes. This is given their bleak situation in December and the CNY 53.1 billion losses confirmed booked in January-November.
The losses came as revenues dropped -19.32% year-on-year to CNY 2.65 trillion. Domestic steel prices have fallen sharply, with Shanghai rebar down around -31% over 2015 to CNY 1,830-1,880/t…
