Cheaper Russian supply hits Kardemir billet sales
Kardemir published a new price list and opened sales for billet in its domestic market on Tuesday, Kallanish notes. It struggled to shift volumes, however, amid continuously falling prices of Russian billet into Turkey.
Variety 150mm square, 6-12m-long billet prices were decreased by $163/tonne from the previous price list issued on 8 March to $717-722/t.
Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
Kardemir is heard to have sold around 30,000 tonne…
