CIS continues to decrease steel output

CIS crude steel production decreased in November, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to an estimated 6.5 million tonnes, down by 24.6% on-year. During the first 11 months of 2022, crude steel production was 79mt, down 19.6% on January-November 2021. Russian production in November is estimated to have been at 5.6mt, down by 9.6%.
