Chonggang produces iron at maximum capacity
Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang) has restarted production at its No.3 blast furnace, indicating the company is running all four of its BFs. It says it is in the process of hitting 10 million tonnes/year of crude steel output.
Chonggang began the upgrade of No.3 BF on 6 December 2020, including work on the hot blast stove and improvement of coal infection efficiency. The BF currently has 7,000 t/y of pig iron capacity.
