Chonggang No.4 blast furnace resumes production
Southwest China’s Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang), now part of China Baowu Group, will resume production of its No.4 blast furnace on 22 September, Kallanish notes.
The 1,750m³ BF has a daily molten iron output of 3,500 tonnes. The company considered the upgrade of the BF as a key project in 2020, and signed a contract with MCC Baosteel Technology Services on 27 March this year.
