Chonggang No.2 blast furnace resumes production
Southwest China’s Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang) has successfully completed the upgrade of its No.4 2,500m³ blast furnace, and ignited it on 30 November, Kallanish notes.
The upgrade project was started on 29 September, and was completed one day ahead of schedule. The BF now has the capacity to produce 7,000 tonnes/day of iron.
