Chinese wire rod export prices slump

Chinese wire rod export prices have fallen rapidly due to slowing demand. Weakness in the domestic steel market has also dragged down steel prices since last week. Kallanish assessed 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod at $635/tonne fob China, down $20/t from a week ago.
