Chinese steelmakers announce bar mill maintenance in November
Chinese steelmakers Xingcheng Special Steel, Laiwu Steel and Juneng Special Steel have announced stoppages at their bar mills in November, mainly because of maintenance. This will reduce bar output by an estimated 77,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
Xingcheng Special Steel plans to relocate a small bar line to Wuxi starting 6 November, and it is expected to affect a total output of 25,000t over 15-20 days.
