Chinese steel futures reverse direction again
Chinese steel futures slid a little on Tuesday but by less than they had gained on Monday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the May rebar contract closed at CNY 3,884/tonne ($587/t), down CNY 33/t versus Monday, while the same contract for hot rolled coil also closed down CNY 16/t at CNY 3,914/t. The contracts had increased by CNY61/t and CNY 46/t respectively on Monday.
