Chinese scrap stabilises, consumption falls

Chinese scrap prices have gradually recovered after falling last week. The recovery of Chinese steel markets has temporarily supported scrap prices to stop falling. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,664/tonne ($394/t), including VAT.
