Chinese mills production cuts hit scrap market
China's scrap market prices have fallen due to production cuts by steel mills.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed grade 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,015/tonne ($438/t), including VAT. This is down CNY 8/t from Thursday and CNY 44/t lower from the previous Friday.
