Chinese mills announce mixed construction steel offers
Most Chinese steel companies have cut their late-December steel offers by CNY 30-330/tonne ($4.56-50.18/t), while some other have kept prices stable and a few have lifted quotations by CNY 10-20/t. A downtrend in orders has weakened spot construction steel prices, but tight market balance has held rebar prices higher than hot rolled coil, Kallanish notes.
