Chinese long steel offers lift in early August

The earlier strengthening of China's construction steel market has caused three steel mills in eastern China to increase their long product offers. This was despite the spot market declining this week due to a downturn in expectations. Kallanish notes from public announcements that Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang each increased longs offers by CNY 50-150/tonne ($7.73-23.2/t) for the first ten days of August.
