Chinese July flats offers slide on weak deals

Major flat steel companies in China have been affected by low transactions over the previous few weeks, and have decided to stabilise or lower their flat steel offers for July, Kallanish notes. Shagang’s hot rolled coil offers have lost CNY 150/tonne ($23/t) in July, after a CNY 50/t increase last month. Bengang and Ningbo Steel lowered HRC prices by CNY 200/t and CNY 350/t respectively from June. All three companies made no other changes to other products. …
