China's wire rod exports remain subdued
China's wire rod export market fell again this week, with short selling disrupting prices.
On Thursday, Kallanish assessed 6.5mm diameter mesh-grade wire rod at $660-670/tonne fob China, down $15/t on-week.
Market sentiment continued to be pessimistic. A major wire rod exporting mill in northeastern China has cut values by another $10/t this week, placing its wire rod export offer at $680/t fob China.
