China's scrap remains strong despite higher supply
The Chinese scrap market has remained strong and saw price increases even with an increase in scrap arrivals last week.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,493/tonne ($548/t), including VAT. This is CNY 23/t higher than Thursday and CNY 71/t higher than the previous Friday.
