China's scrap prices increase on restocking demand
Chinese scrap prices rebounded slightly last week, with supply and demand basically balanced, while steel mills began winter restocking.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,259/tonne ($512/t), including VAT. This is CNY 24/t higher than Thursday and CNY 29/t higher than the previous Friday.
