Chinese scrap prices increase with firm outlook
Chinese domestic scrap prices increased slightly last week, with rising demand and supply limiting gains.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,838/tonne ($396/t), including VAT. This is CNY 4/t higher from Thursday and up CNY 8/t from a week before.
