China's scrap holds with holidays approaching
China's scrap prices stood still due to cooling market transactions, and scrap demand has hit a pre-holiday trough.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,042/tonne ($452/t), including VAT. This is down CNY 1/t from Thursday and from the previous Friday.
