Chinese scrap prices decline with higher supply
Chinese scrap prices continued to slump last week, thereby stimulating traders' shipments, but scrap consumption by mills remained low.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,206/tonne ($478/t), including VAT. This is unchanged from Thursday but down CNY 85/t compared with the previous Friday.
