China’s auto sector remains weak despite February rebound
China’s auto industry in February improved on both month-on-month and year-on-year basis thanks to the low base for comparison, but year-to-date results remained lower y-o-y, according to the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers (CAAM).
February car output totalled 2.03 million units, hiking 27.5% m-o-m and 11.9% y-o-y, Kallanish notes. But this was because the Spring Festival holiday hit production in February last year and January this year.
