China wire rod exports struggle on pricing
China's wire rod export prices have become less competitive recently, and most traders' transactions have becalmed. Some small traders in Tangshan are very active however due to much lower offer prices, Kallanish notes.
6.5mm diameter mesh grade wire rod is assessed at $510-513/tonne fob China, down $11/t over the same period of last week. Most alloy-added wire rod meanwhile is offered at a minimum $525/t fob China.
