China helps Turkish semis exports hit 2021 high
Turkish semi-finished product exports, the vast majority of which were billet, trebled on-year in May to 118,066 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They also almost doubled versus April, recording their highest monthly tonnage so far in 2021.
HS code 720711 billet comprised 93,813t of exports, at an average price of $599/tonne versus $381/t a year earlier and $558/t in April 2021.
