CAP contracts SMS to improve Huachipato energy efficiency
Technology supplier SMS has announced it has been commissioned for a digitalisation project to improve energy efficiency at Siderúrgica Huachipato in Chile.
“The Chilean steel mill, part of the integrated mining and steel group CAP, is undergoing a transformation process with improvements expected mainly to its operations, equipment, and energy sources,” SMS explains in a note seen by Kallanish.
