Canada’s rig count drops, US count is flat
The North American rig count declined last week, as Canada removed oil and gas rigs from operation and the US count was flat, according to the latest weekly report from Baker Hughes.
Canada’s count dropped by seven net rigs with the removal of four net oil rigs and three net gas rigs, bringing the weekly count to 217 active rigs. The count is 76 higher than the same week in 2021, Kallanish observes in the data.
