Canada leads increase in North American rig count
The latest report from Baker Hughes shows the North American rig count registering another week of increases, again led by Canada.
The Canadian count rose by 21 net rigs during the week ended 21 January. Eight gas rigs and 13 oil rigs were added to the count, bringing the total to 212 rigs. This is 40 rigs more than were operating at this time last year.
