The first Chinese steel investment in Saudi Arabia, Bunyan Steel, is due to start production in the fourth quarter, notes Kallanish.

A plant is taking shape in the bustling industrial city of Al Kharj, in Riyadh. This facility, with a designed annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes of rebar, and 300,000t of wire rod and other sections, is a testament to Bunyan Steel's substantial investment, exceeding $100 million.

A senior company manager informs Kallanish that Bunyan Steel's production is set to commence in October. According to Bunyan, it will be the sole steel plant in Saudi Arabia designed for continuous casting and rolling, boasting the lowest energy consumption in the industry while ensuring top-notch product quality.
