Brazil's 2022 pig iron production falls, exports grow

Brazilian pig iron output rose month-on-month but was weaker on-year in December, according to data issued by local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB) and monitored by Kallanish. The country ended 2022 having produced less pig iron than in 2021. During December, pig iron output reached 2.24 million tonnes.
