Brazil’s January ore exports reach ten-month low

Brazil saw its iron ore exports decrease in January both month-on-month and on-year, reaching a ten-month low, Kallanish notes. According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, shipments abroad of iron ore were 24.68 million tonnes in January. This was almost 7.2mt or 22.6% down over December 2022 and also a fall by 0.8% year-on-year. January saw the lowest monthly volume exported by Brazil since February 2022…
