Boomerang asks for more time on bankruptcy plan
Boomerang Tube is asking a Delaware bankruptcy court for more time to solidify its Chapter 11 reorganisation plan, Kallanish learns from court documents.
In a motion filed 31 December 2015 and supported by documents filed 9 January, Boomerang Tube asks the United State Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to grant it an extension. This is intended to allow it to implement a plan for emerging from Chapter 11 bankruptcy until 3 May 2016. The company’s previous date for plan implementation - and thus protection from creditors – was 4 January 2016. The company entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on 9 June 2015.
Boomerang Tube’s prior Chapter 11 reorganisation plan was denied by the court. Denial of additional time to refine the new plan will not allow Boomerang to “… undertake a thorough analysis of the actions or develop a strategy with respect to whether they should remove any of the actions” levied against it by its creditors, the company says in the documents.
