BlueScope faces possible cartel fine
Australia’s BlueScope Steel has been found to have engaged in cartel conduct by the country’s Federal Court. The ruling relates to price fixing agreements between September 2013 and June 2014, Kallanish notes.
The court ruled on Friday in a case brought by the competition authorities in 2019. The ruling was against both the company and its then general manager for sales and marketing Jason Ellis. Penalties are expected to be determined in 2023. Fi…
