Black Sea billet remains static as buyers withdraw
Billet trade in the Black Sea basin market remained subdued in the past week, after the avalanche of demand and bookings three weeks prior, Kallanish notes.
Ongoing weak demand for finished long products – earthquake reconstruction plans notwithstanding – and very full arrivals books, amid rising offers, placed many buyers on the fence. Some non-Turkish interest has however resurfaced.
