Billet offers shoot up ASEAN
Offers for imported billet continue to shoot up in Southeast Asia, Kallanish understands. Exporters are hiking prices in tandem with the strong rebound in the Chinese steel market, on the back of easing Covid measures. However, regional billet importers in ASEAN are unable to follow the price hikes because of sluggish demand for finished steel.
