Scrap prices in the Benelux are seen sliding amid weak export demand and price pressure.
Benelux exporters’ dock prices were mostly at €365-375/tonne ($390-400) delivered on Monday.
European scrap exporters, who were quoting at $460/t cfr Turkey at the beginning of last week, are seen to have offered discounts later due to Turkish buyers’ lacking interest. Most exporters’ offers decreased to $450/t cfr for HMS 1&2 80:20.
