Benelux scrap softens amid weaker Turkish demand
Benelux scrap dock prices, which crossed the €500/tonne ($549) threshold and even reached €520/t levels, have softened after Turkey slowed its scrap purchases last week.
On Monday, exporters were seen paying mostly €500-510/t delivered for HMS 1&2 80:20.
A Benelux exporter tells Kallanish: “Although we were suffering from weak flow, it accelerated all of a sudden at €510/t levels at the end of last week.”
