Bearish sentiment pressures Benelux scrap prices
Scrap prices in the Benelux are continuing their fall amid the bearish sentiment prevailing in the global scrap market.
Although there was not much activity due to the Easter holiday on Monday, HMS 1&2 80:20 dock prices in Belgium were seen mostly at €485-495/tonne ($523-534/t). However, a higher price at €505/t is also available from an exporter who needs to load a vessel. In the Netherlands, prices were mostly at €495/t delivered levels.
