Baowu, Rio see first shipment from Western Range
Australian miner Rio Tinto and Chinese steel giant Baowu Group on Monday 17 June saw the first shipment of iron ore from their joint venture project in Australia.
The Western Range iron ore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia is expected to be fully operational in March 2025, Kallanish learns from Baowu's official news. It targets 25 million tonnes/year of iron ore capacity.
