Baosteel, Shagang update flats offers with huge increases
China’s Baosteel lifted its ex-works steel offers sharply on 10 May, in line with the strong market. Shagang also hiked its flat steel offers significantly, Kallanish notes.
Baosteel added CNY 300/tonne ($46.77/t) to its hot rolled coil price and CNY 400/t to its thick plate price for June. Sections, pickled coil and cold rolled coil have been lifted by CNY 500/t, CNY 600/t and CNY 650/t, respectively.
